Job Description:
Job Title: QC Inspector – AXI/5DX Department: Manufacturing
Quality Location: Newark, CA The QC Inspector – AXI operates the
AXI/5DX machine, performs quality inspections using AXI/5DX, and
provides AXI/5DX support. Primary Job Responsibilities 1. Operate
the AXI/5DX machine · Responsible for the entire AXI operation/line
support activities · Review AXI inspection for accurate, consistent
detection of component placement and solder joint defects · Support
and maintain test handlers, troubleshooting AXI machine whenever
necessary to support production · Assist superior to carry out
various studies for quality improvement, program, and cycle time
optimization for AXI operation. · Work in close collaboration with
the processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect
yields and resolve processing issues 2. Perform AXI-related quality
inspection tasks · Inspect components or feature chips, ICs,
joints, text, connectors, clips, screws, etc., using the AXI
computer-operated machine, · Inspect populated printed circuit
boards and identify component misplacement and solder defects to
IPC-A-610 standards, using magnification aids and
stereomicroscopes. · Read, understand, and follow customer’s
drawings, specifications, instructions, and requirements as they
apply to inspect printed circuit board assembly. · Load AXI
programs per instructions · Perform AXI inspection for accurate,
consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement, and solder
joint defects · Detect and report problems and issues in the
operation process and components 3. Support engineers and
production operators with equipment training, data collection, and
system evaluations · Assist engineers in data collection and
engineering evaluations · Communicate defects to responsible
personnel · Inspect populated PCBs and identify component
misplacement and solder defects to IPC-A-610 standards using a
microscope · Responsible for daily/shift yield, efficiency, and
effectiveness report · Support improvement initiatives and
participate actively to improve the work environment (5S) Other
duties and responsibilities related to AXI Support and Production
as assigned Requirements: 1. Minimum 2 years of experience
operating AXI or 5DX equipment 2. High School Diploma
