CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT - ( SACRAMENTO, CA ) Title: Onsite Construction Superintendent (Commercial or Multifamily Group Up Construction) Location: Sacramento, California Compensation: Highly competitive base plus great benefits, performance bonus, and future opportunity for professional growth and advancement Term: Long Term Full Time Direct Hire TJG Construction General Contracting actively seeks a skilled and experienced Onsite Construction Superintendent to join our thriving Sacramento, CA office. This Onsite Construction Superintendent will run the day-to-day operations on the construction site and control the short-term schedule of large scale ground up commercial and multifamily construction projects $5 million plus in value. This Onsite Construction Superintendent role will also include important quality control and subcontractor coordination responsibilities. The ideal Onsite Construction Superintendent must have strong leadership abilities and be skilled and experienced in managing construction subcontractors and suppliers, cost monitoring, scheduling and problem solving. Onsite Construction Superintendent must be able to schedule entire project start to finish (preferable utilizing MS Project) Onsite Construction Superintendent Skill Set and Experience Needed: Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management and/or Business is preferred. Degree can be substituted by equivalent directly related professional onsite construction superintendent as the main superintendent on ground up projects of at least $5 million plus in value. Minimum of 5 10+ years of diverse building construction experience Must have considerable large scale commercial or multifamily building construction experience. Knowledge of building construction means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications. Computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft office suite programs. Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of accounting and cost control procedures. Ability to track subcontractors progress on the job, maintain the project schedule and coordinate with various agencies for reporting and compliance with project documents and specification. Ability to manage field crew including project engineers, foremen and assistant superintendent Responsible for quality control Manage project safety Provide on-site coordination of manpower, materials, equipment and site logistics Effectively manage job site challenges such as weather conditions or emergencies Monitor cost control and job costing, quantity reporting, forecasting and productivity All candidates must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need of employee sponsorship or Visa transfer.
