Job Description:

Our firm is searching for a dynamic, passionate, and energetic associate attorney to join our team. Qualified applicants must have a valid California Bar license and 2+ solid years of wage and hour class action and PAGA experience. Trial experience or preparation is preferred. We are searching for someone with excellent research and writing skills, an ability to think on their feet, and an ability to independently move cases to a successful resolution without significant oversight. We represent employers only. Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus!

Responsibilities:
--- Defend wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions
--- Prepare cases for trial, arbitration, and mediation
--- Analyze class data and utilize experts when appropriate
--- Draft employment documents
--- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
--- Researching state, federal, and administrative law
--- Appear for hearings and conferences before state and federal courts and administrative agencies (CRD, EEOC, ALRB, DLSE, Cal/OSHA)
--- Draft and argue motions including motions for summary judgment and class certification
--- Take and defend depositions
--- Manage own caseload and calendar

Qualifications:
--- Have strong writing and analytical skills
--- Be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
--- Enjoy working as part of a team
--- Must be ready for a long-term position
--- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
