Job Description:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or 12
years of experience in a senior role creating strategy and
designing products. 15 years of experience leading UX teams or
design portfolios. Experience managing and growing cross-discipline
UX organizations, including senior managers and their teams.
Preferred qualifications: Experience managing distributed teams and
the ability to grow strong teams and leaders. Understanding of
roles, methods, processes and best practices for user-centered
design. Proven ability to work in a rapidly-changing industry and
manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty. Prove track record
of cross-functional collaboration, partnerships, and leadership
within a matrixed organization. Expertise or interest in short-form
video and Gen AI creation. About the job With over two billion

world. As the Senior Director, UX, Emerging Experience and
Community, you will be responsible for the user experience of
YouTube's mobile creation and community experiences - including
Shorts, YouTube Create, and formats like Live and Posts. You'll
also be responsible for leading the next generation of AI powered
creation tools. In this role, you'll drive a user-centered
strategic vision, influence cross-functional partners and hold a
high bar for product excellence to deliver experiences for

salary range for this full-time position is $323,000-$449,000 bonus
equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level,
and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by
work location and additional factors, including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can

product and engineering partners to set the priorities and roadmap,
leading to the growth of existing products and boldly pursuing new
ones. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, intuitive, and
delightful user experiences for YouTube creators and viewers. Drive
operational and executional excellence, while leading creative and
holistic thinking at scale. Build relationships with the broader
YouTube organization to socialize and influence experiences that
are cohesive and well-informed. Serve as a strong thought leader to
provide perspective on the evolution of video creation, including
Generative AI.
