As a Back End Software Engineer at Walmart, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment leveraging cutting-edge technology to impact millions of customers globally. You will be pivotal in building solutions that support the vast data and transaction volume of one of the largest retail operations in the world. Design and implement backend services and APIs for Walmart's digital platforms. Work closely with frontend developers and product managers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. Maintain code integrity and organization. Utilize various data storage solutions to optimize the performance of Walmart's IT systems. Participate in code reviews and team meetings to discuss innovative solutions and improvements. Proficiency in server-side languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby Experience with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Optional but beneficial certifications include AWS Certified Developer, Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
