Job Description Job Description Description: This role’s primary responsibility is safety in the pool and on the pool deck, preventatively and if an emergency occurs. You will enforce rules, regulate pool use, and help others, with opportunities for leadership in the form of Head Guard and additional responsibilities and/or education opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all swimmers and enforce club pool rules Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies, providing first aid, CPR, or water rescues as needed. Complete Incident Reports regarding incidents at the pool Maintain a constant, alert presence around the pool deck and proactively prevent potential hazards. Perform routine safety checks, including inspecting equipment and maintaining a clean and organized pool area. Assist with member inquiries and provide friendly, professional customer service. Support pool operations, including setting up and taking down equipment as needed. Participate in staff training and safety drills to stay prepared for emergency situations. Requirements: Must be at least 15.5 years old Lifeguarding with CPR/AED and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain one upon hire. Strong swimming skills and the ability to remain focused and attentive for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior lifeguarding experience preferred but not required. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Classification: Non-Exempt Compensation: $18.60 per hour Employment Type: Seasonal (March-September)
